The History Tour day 1

And so it begins. Mary, Michael, Ann Marie and I are embarking on a two week history tour. We flew into Philadelphia on June 15th. Our plans are a result of the St Agatha students going on a tour of Washington DC. For an Marie and Michael to join them would be a bit expensive. So we are taking that money and all 4 of us are touring historical cities. We are staying in Philly for a couple of days. The kids have 3 criteria. Philly cheese steak, liberty bell and the Rocky Steps. We will see as much of the historical Philly as we can in one day. Our journey takes us to Lancaster next. Harper's ferry, with a stop to visit cousin Jan in MD. Williamsburg after that. Then on to DC for 4 days and a little bit of time visiting with my cousin Amanda. . Then our last leg takes us through Baltimore to New Jersey. Where we will visit my aunt Connie and uncle Ron. Hoping to visit with my cousin Lauren too. While there we will be sight seeing in New York. Our final day we drive back to Philly to fly home. Stay tuned for updates and pics and follow our journey.

The lights in the cabin of the plane were flickering. I wonder why. We landed a half hour early in Philly. We got to the hotel ahead of time, so the kids are taking advantage of it.

The kids are smart. It was a hot and very humid day. Great way to end it.
