Lookout Mountain The Hard Way

Took the day of work on April 23rd 2015, to hike Lookout Mountain. Near Mt Hood. I've been here numerous times. But not in the snow. The hike started at hwy 35 and climbed 3000 ft. I hit snow at  4700 ft. Some snow drifts were difficult. There were new downed trees across the trail from this winter. The hike was difficult going up, but going down was just as tough in the snow. The snow was getting mushy by the latter partt of the afternoon. Made for slippery hiking.
